NavisWorks Videos
Autodesk has release a few new videos for Navisworks. These videos cover some of the basic and new tools available in the 2013 product. We will be updating this post with any new videos that come out.
Tour of Clash Detective
This Autodesk Navisworks Learning video shows you how to navigate and understand Clash Detective. Clash Detective enables you to identify clashes between objects in your model, so that you can resolve problems at the design stage.

Revit 2013 – The Whats New List
The day has officially arrived. Autodesk has announced their 2013 family of products. Later this week Autodesk will be displaying all the new products during the “Lead the Way” virtual event. Click here to register.

Club Revit Meeting – What’s New?
Club Revit is excited to bring Scott Davis from Autodesk to it’s annual “What’s New” meeting on April 10th. The meeting will be held in Las Vegas at the Oryan fine art gallery. We will be broadcasting the meeting over GoToWebinar for those of you not in Las Vegas.
Scott will be showing us What’s New in Revit along with What’s New in the land of BIM at Autodesk. This, combined with the incredible art of Oryan, means we are expecting a great Club Revit event.

Does “Newest Autodesk Software” mean Revit 2013 is on the way?
We are starting to see emails and posts about a new Autodesk Virtual event called “Lead the Way”. The Event is being positioned as come learn about the newest Autodesk software. The event is on March 29, 2012, that is in line with previous years releases. It is our best guess that this is the launch event for Autodesk’s 2013 line of products. We always love to see what new functionality the new releases will bring. We will be watching the event and posting our comments about the new tools within a few days of the event.

BuildEdge Product Review
For those of you that made it to Autodesk University this year you may have noticed a new Revit add-in company called BuildEdge. Their booth was right next to the BIM9 booth, so I got to spend some time with them. As I found out Autodesk University was a kind of launch party for a new Revit add-In called BuildEdge Roof™. BuildEdge Roof automates and simplifies the input of pitched roofs within Revit.
The Next Generation
A good friend of Club Revit Donovan Ballantyne is, in my mind, a great example of the next generation designer and technologist. He probably would not like me adding the technologist part. He is able to take tools that we use everyday and apply them in ways that most of us just never think of. The results are well…… Take a look!!!!!!

2012 $25 Autodesk Certification Days
Autodesk has announced the dates for the 2012 certification days. These are the dates that you can get your certifications for $25 each. This is a great price to renew or get a new Autodesk certification.
The 2012 certification days are:
February 10th
April 13th
June 15th
August 10th
October 12th

All certified testing centers will be part of these $25 days. So you can take the test at your local certification center.

It is almost TIME – AU 2011
Autodesk University 2011 will be held between November 29 and December 1, at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada.
Several of your fellow Club Revit members and leaders will be attending, speaking and exhibiting at this years event. like most years several of us have teamed together for a few sessions.
